The Parents Behind The Brand
In 2019, while in seminary, Shawn received a word from the Lord that His people didn’t understand grace because they didn’t understand His law. Three years later, as he studied the Torah and God’s commandments, he and Nycki discovered the teachings of the Lord about how to care for each other, the land, the animals, and our own bodies. This caused us to start thinking about how the United States has been missing the mark in caring for it's people. We realized how modern processing, toxic pesticides, and additives strip food of God-given nutrition and/or render it's nutrition counterproductive by treating it with poison. Determined to live by God’s design, they began to evaluate the food they were eating and giving to their children, along with personal care products like moisturizers, facial cleansers and even deodorants; looking for better options..
Their convictions deepened when Nycki, who had faced pre-eclampsia in prior pregnancies, was told it couldn’t be prevented. Through prayer and research, Shawn uncovered overlooked signs of iron deficiency. By adding iron-rich foods and a heme-based supplement, Nycki’s headaches and blood pressure normalized. By God’s mercy, she avoided preeclampsia and safely delivered their third son—an answer to prayer and proof of His wisdom in health.
Their second son, Sincere, also shaped this journey. After switching to formula, he developed painful eczema that steroid creams couldn’t heal. Research led Shawn to tallow’s healing properties, and their doula encouraged Nycki to make her own balm. It worked so well that she began creating products for their home and others, sensing God’s call to contribute more fully to their family.
Now, Shawn and Nycki produce an natural whipped tallow cream—researched by Shawn and refined with Nycki’s skincare insight—that soothes eczema, psoriasis, cracked heels, dry skin, and more. What began as a family need has become a God-inspired offering rooted in faith and stewardship, blessing others with natural skincare that honors the bodies He created in His image.
